A Consistent Framework for Evaluating Cybersecurity Vendors in SEA

Every vendor assessed by Logic Lock Group is evaluated using the same structured framework. This section explains how we approach compliance ratings, moat scoring, and vendor selection — so you can judge the work for yourself. Essential reading for security procurement teams at regulated mid-market and large enterprises.

Research Cut-Off

All assessments in the H1 2026 report reflect information available as of 31 March 2026. Developments after this date are not reflected unless explicitly noted. The H2 2026 edition will carry an updated research cut-off date.

Cybersecurity Regulatory Compliance Methodology – Rating Scale

We rate each vendor’s compliance posture in each market across a four-tier scale. Ratings are applied independently per market: Singapore (MAS TRM / PDPA), Indonesia (PDP Law / OJK), Thailand (PDPA / BOT), and Vietnam (PDPL / Decree 356).

RatingWhat It Means
CertifiedVendor holds formal certification or accreditation recognised by the relevant regulator
CompliantVendor demonstrates substantive alignment with the framework’s requirements
PartialVendor meets some requirements but has notable gaps in coverage or documentation
Not CoveredInsufficient evidence of alignment; framework not addressed in vendor materials

Moat Scoring Framework

Each vendor receives a Competitive Moat Score — a composite assessment of their defensible competitive position in the SEA market. Scores are weighted across five dimensions. Competitive Moat Score values in the H1 2026 report are based on secondary research, under our cybersecurity methodology for Southeast Asia. Quantitative scoring will be refined as primary vendor engagement is conducted in future cycles.

Vendor Selection

The H1 2026 report covers eleven vendors selected for their relevance to enterprise cybersecurity procurement across Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, and Vietnam: Palo Alto Networks · Fortinet · Trend Micro · CrowdStrike · Zscaler · Wiz · Ensign InfoSecurity · ST Engineering Cybersecurity · InsiderSecurity · Cloudsine · Sangfor Technologies.

Based on our cybersecurity methodology for Southeast Asia, vendors were identified through a combination of market presence analysis, regulatory filing reviews, and buyer demand signals gathered from procurement professionals operating in SEA’s regulated sectors. No vendor paid for inclusion, and no vendor had editorial input into their assessment.

Publication Cadence

The Regulatory Compliance series publishes on a biannual cadence — H1 and H2 editions per year. Each edition reflects a full refresh of vendor assessments, compliance ratings, and market analysis, based on our cybersecurity methodology for Southeast Asia. Where regulatory frameworks have been updated, compliance rating criteria are revised accordingly.

Vendor-by-vendor evaluation is also covered in the Q3 2026 AI and Cybersecurity report, which combines regulatory compliance grading with AI readiness scoring across all six markets — see its methodology here.
